Invitation to the first FORMULA conference
Mobility of services, posting of workers and labour market governance
Oslo, Thursday 28 May 2009 from 08.30 to 17.30

The conference will focus on the development of EU legislation intersecting free movement of services law and the regulation of posting of workers with a multifaceted perspective. The interaction between ECJ case law and the framing and construction of key Directives, the Posted Workers Directive and the Services Directive, is one central aspect. Another is the interconnecting issues and processes pertaining to the interplay between the different institutions and organised actors shaping supra-national decision-making. Speakers will address these issues with particular reference to the impact of legislation and case law in the field of cross-border provision of services, at this conference which brings together leading legal and industrial relations scholars from a number of European countries.

Registration is open until 14 May 2009. The Conference fee is 950 NOK.

More information about the conference program and registration can be found at www.jus.uio.no/ifp/forskning/prosjekter/formula/activities/conferences/may2009/index.html

The conference is part of the project FORMULA, ”Free movement, labour market regulation and multilevel governance in the enlarged EU/EEA – a Nordic and comparative perspective” which is funded by The Research Council of Norway
