This article is written primarily with a foreign redership in mind. It aims at presenting an analytical description of the law and practice of industrial actions in Sweden. It does so against the background of Swedish industrial relations while also applying a historical perspective. The article concludes with reflections on the need for a renegotiated social compact in Sweden to remedy the malaise of the 1980's and early 1990's. |
